The Byron Bay Photography Retreat will run from Friday 24th March to Sunday 26th March for 2 nights and 3 days.
Over those 3 days we will be photographing sunrise and sunset at some of Australia’s most beautiful and iconic beaches.
During the day we will be learning how to capture great drone photos over the stunning beaches with the clearest of waters. If you don’t have a drone, no worries there is still plenty to photograph during the day.
We will also visit two stunning waterfalls in the area and learn how to photography waterfalls
There will also be a photo editing workshop during the day where you will learn how to process your photos to make them look amazing and have the chance to ask as many questions as you like regarding editing.
We will be staying in a gorgeous 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom house with its own fully equipped kitchen in the heart of Byron Bay.

What to expect…
From sunrise to sunset I will make sure you are at the right place at the right time to capture the sky exploding in colour, lots of walks to beautiful scenic locations. Please note that the weather and light condition play a big part in creating these images.
Soak up the Byron Bay vibes and get into a relaxed state of mind while doing what you love in one of the most beautiful places in Australia.
You can either cook your own food in the kitchen of our beautiful home for 2 nights or enjoy the many amazing cafes and foodie lifestyle that Byron Bay is famous for.
Being a small group of only 5 of us you will get the individual personal attention that other tours don’t provide.

- ISO, Aperture and Shutterspeed and how they all work together to create amazing images
- Correctly exposing an image (dynamic range, understanding light including the use of filters in achieving balance)
- How to compose an image (including main focal point, framing, foreground and depth of field)
- Long exposure and working in low light
- Overview of post-processing (Lightroom and Photoshop)
- Using tripods, filters, remote shutters and other accessories

Larissa is an international award winning landscape and travel photographer from Brisbane, Australia. She travels the world taking photos to promote amazing tourist destinations.
She has been featured in Australian Traveler magazine, on Channel 7’s television program The Great South East, Queensland Weekender and is a published author.
